The Aphelion 2 represents the fourth generation of Rega’s meticulously handcrafted moving coil cartridges. Building on the innovations of the original Aphelion and the Apheta 3, Rega’s engineers have refined every element to elevate performance further. Exemplifying cutting-edge micro engineering and design, the Aphelion 2 features a unique hand-wound micro cross and coil assembly mounted directly on a boron rod cantilever. Its advanced “fine line” nude diamond stylus, mounted at a 90-degree angle, delivers exceptional stiffness and precise stylus control. This cartridge demands zero-tolerance engineering, achieving the highest performance level Rega has attained to date. It is perfectly matched to Rega’s reference turntables, including the Naiad.
