Computers are increasingly utilized for top-notch audio reproduction. A notable advantage of utilizing a computer versus an embedded system is the vast flexibility and potential for upgrades that it provides. Additionally, computers often possess robust processors that effortlessly handle DSD streams, DSP settings, and/or upsampling. More and more manufacturers are embracing computer technology in their digital playback devices. However, the built-in DAC in computers (part of the motherboard) is inadequate for achieving high-quality digital to analog conversion. An external DAC is essential. The Pink Faun I2S bridge establishes a high-quality I2S (PCM) connection between the music computer and the DAC. It also serves as a filter to eliminate any negative effects from the computer and deliver a clean digital signal.
