Made from 100% raw wool sourced from Michigan sheep and processed in Frankenmuth, Michigan. MamaSuds Wool Dryer Balls are handmade, felted, unscented, and composed entirely of raw wool. These dryer balls help dry clothes 15–25% faster and naturally soften fabrics. By circulating air more efficiently in the dryer, they allow heat to reach more of the laundry, reducing drying time. For best results, 3 balls are recommended for a standard-sized load, while 4–6 balls provide optimal performance.
Each MamaSuds Dryer Ball (sold individually) is made from 100% locally sourced raw wool and weighs at least 2 ounces—approximately the size of a softball.
Why avoid conventional dryer sheets? Consider the potentially harmful ingredients they often contain:
- Enzyl Acetate: Linked to pancreatic cancer
- Benzyl Alcohol: Upper respiratory tract irritant
- Ethanol: On the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Hazardous Waste list and can cause central nervous system disorders
- A-Terpineol: Can cause respiratory problems, including fatal edema, and central nervous system damage
- Ethyl Acetate: A narcotic on the EPA’s Hazardous Waste list

- Pentane: A chemical known to be harmful if inhaled
