The Hockey Stick Tetra, also known as the Penguin Tetra, is a calm and elegant schooling fish appreciated for its distinctive black “hockey stick” stripe and smooth swimming behavior. Originating from the shaded, slow-moving tributaries of the Amazon Basin, this species thrives in planted tanks with soft water, gentle flow, and peaceful tank mates. Its silver body, unique markings, and synchronized schooling make it a beautiful addition to community aquariums.
