The Ikeda KAI MC Cartridge represents the pinnacle of four decades of analog engineering expertise. This flagship moving coil design rivals elite competitors through meticulous material selection and precision craftsmanship. The cartridge features a solid aluminum body with Ikeda Blue Alumite finish, titanium base and top plate, and a boron cantilever for accurate groove tracking across the full frequency spectrum. The generator employs highly efficient Permalloy cores, low-impedance coils, an optimally shaped magnet yoke, and samarium-cobalt magnets to deliver analog reproduction at the highest fidelity. Each unit undergoes individual hand assembly, alignment, and inspection. Specifications include 0.19 mVrms output, 2.5 Ohms impedance, 1.8g stylus force, 10Hz–45kHz frequency response, and 27dB+ channel separation.
